Use Riven's high mobility and cooldown sequencing to pressure Mordekaiser and deny his passive lane control.
This is a snowball matchup where you must avoid giving Mordekaiser extended trades and isolate opportunities.
Your goal is to force short trades and leverage cooldown advantages before Mordekaiser can sustain or isolate.

Trading pattern

Start trades with shield, chain and for crowd control, then disengage before cooldowns expire.
Punish Mordekaiser whenever he misses pull or uses shield defensively.
Avoid extended trades where Mordekaiser's passive and healing outlast your burst damage.

Danger windows

pull followed by isolated and passive damage is a lethal threat; avoid standing still or isolated.
